Baby Shower Party Ideas
Have a Raffle – On the invitations, print prize draw numbers. Instruct all invitees to bring their invitations along and draw out the winners on the day. Either have enough prizes for everyone, or maybe one or two bigger prizes, making it all the more exciting.
Guess the number of Safety Pins/blue and pink ribbons etc – put a certain amount of baby-related items into a bottle. Make sure you make a note of how many were in there. Pass the bottle around and get everyone to write down how many items are in the bottle. The closest in answer wins the prize.
Word Jumble – Only baby words though. Create anagrams of baby words and get your guests to unscramble them. The one that unscrambles them the fastest wins the prize.
Pin The Dummy On The Baby – Print out a large picture of a baby (cartoon or real) from the internet, and then stick it onto a corkboard or piece of Styrofoam. Then get some Blue-Tak or a stick-pin and attach it to a dummy on a ribbon. The one that gets it closest to the babies mouth wins.
Guess the Baby Food – Take the labels off of some bought baby food and write down corresponding numbers on the jars and labels so that you know where they came from. Give everyone a plastic spoon and get them to guess the baby food in the jar. The person with the most correct wins.
Baby-Find-a-Word – Using an Excel spreadsheet or creating a grid on a piece of paper with a pen and ruler, add in as many baby words as possible, and then fill in the gaps with other letters. The person who finds the most amount of words in a short space of time wins.
